ABQid Accelerator startup Peptineo was recently featured on local news, KOAT Channel 7. The news story centered on Peptineo’s technology, FlexDex, a therapeutic formula that makes established antibiotics and potentially vaccines effective and lucrative again. Because infectious organisms evolve so fast, previously approved antibiotics have lost potency and, in many cases are off patent. FlexDex Formulation turbo boosts efficacy, provides novelty to previously approved antibiotics for a renewed patent life, at a fraction of the cost of a new chemical structure.

Be Vulnerable

An excerpt and link to Brad Feld’s latest post contains the enormously insightful advice for anyone attempting to lead a startup (or initiative of any kind):  to be vulnerable.

Leadership is hard business and true dynamism is not based on singular perspective or reliance on only one person’s experience.  The importance of vulnerability is in what it affords would-be-supporters:  the knowledge that you can accept/tolerate/respect their critique and advice, rather than reject it, or worse, them.  This is such a powerful tool towards improving both the channels of advice available to an entrepreneur and the influence that leader can wield.
